Karlla Girotto zeigt ihre Kollektion DUSK auf Einladung als Artist-in-Residence des quartier21/MQ. Sie ist Künstlerin und Forscherin, Schwerpunkte sind die Möglichkeiten des Daseins und die Grenzen zwischen Performance, Mode und Leben.
DUSK ist ein direkter Verweis auf die Zeit zwischen dem Ende des Tages und dem Beginn der Nacht, dem Moment der Dämmerung, der die Vorstellungen von Raum und Zeit, Sonne und Licht für das Leben auf der Erde vorübergehend aussetzt. Es ergibt eine Art von Fremdheit, die den Moment real macht.
Karlla Girotto shows DUSK her collection at the invitation as Artist-in-Residence of the quartier21/MQ. She is an artist and researcher with focus on the ways of existence and boundaries between performance, fashion and life.
DUSK is a direct reference to the period between the end of the day and the beginning of the night, the moment of twilight that suspends the notions of space and time, sun and light for life on Earth temporarily. It gives a kind of strangeness that makes the moment real.
